Kloakskader og -problemer hænger i mange tilfælde sammen med rotteproblemer. En lille revne i kloakken kan nemlig være nok til, at rotterne får fri adgang til både kloakken og bygningen. Det er derfor vigtigt, at rotteproblemer altid bliver set i sammenhæng med kloakkens tilstand og kloakproblemer generelt.
