Som autoriserede kloakmestre skal vi både have det rette udstyr samt den korrekte viden – og så skal vi sætte meget tid af til at etablere et omfangsdræn, da det er en omfattende opgave at udføre med flere vigtige trin involveret. Hvis prisen pr. meter er høj, skal du derfor ikke blive skræmt væk med det samme. Hvordan etableres et omfangsdræn korrekt?

Etableringen af et omfangsdræn starter med, at vi graver ned i jorden langs ydersiden af bygningen. Langt ned. Det er nemlig meget vigtigt, at udgravningen er dyb nok, så vandet kan nå at blive ledt væk, inden det når op til gulvet. Derfor følger vi en regel om, at vi skal grave cirka 40 centimeter under kældergulvets underkant ved huse med kældre.

Når vi har gravet, skal vi etablere selve systemet. Det består – kort fortalt – af en drænslange med små huller og flere brønde, der arbejder tæt sammen. Når vandet møder drænslangen, sørger slangen for at lede vandet videre til en rensebrønd, der renser vandet. Derefter bliver vandet ledt videre til en pumpebrønd, der slutteligt pumper vandet væk fra bygningen.

Hvis omfangsdrænet ikke etableres korrekt, kan vandets rejsedestination være en helt anden. Det gælder især, hvis udgravningen ikke er dyb nok og dermed forhindrer vandet i at blive ledt væk hurtigt. Det kan resultere i vand- og fugtproblemer i kælderen, der kan være svære at komme til livs.

Etableringen af et omfangsdræn har mange fordele, og derfor mener vi, at den er alle pengene værd.

Ud over at lede vandet effektivt væk fra bygningen og forhindre fugt- og vandskader medfører et omfangsdræn også, at boligens værdi bliver øget.

Det gør den, fordi du sandsynligvis står tilbage med en kælder, der er blevet beboelig, og som er blevet ordentligt isoleret. Der er nemlig specifikke krav til, hvornår man må og ikke må bo i en kælder, og et omfangsdræn kan være med til netop at sikre, at din kælder er forsvarlig og sund at bo i.
